スクウェア・エニックスが、Mantra開発によるマンガ特化型の翻訳・組版・画像編集ツール“Mantra Engine”の一部を応用した“写植指定AI”を共同開発。あわせて、出版事業本部のコミック編集部内へ段階的に導入することを発表した。

スクウェア・エニックスは4月16日、マンガ原稿の吹き出しに書かれたセリフやナレーションに対し、最適なフォントや配置を編集者が手作業で選ぶ「写植指定」を効率化するAIツール「写植指定AI」を、コミック編集部内へ段階的に導入すると発表した。
